The Company:

Our client, a very successful international company are currently recruiting for a German speaking Product Support Specialist to join their offices in Hampshire.

The Role:

This role involves providing support via telephone and email for Data Management products. You will be working with various support and operating systems such as Microsoft XP, SQL and the company?s own products. Further responsibilities are:

- providing technical support to customers
- diagnosing and resolving technical issues by using knowledgebase tools
- liaising with other teams to ensure quality
- documenting and updating customer and partner interaction in the system
- developing and presenting training on the company?s products
- troubleshooting software or hardware problems

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and German to mother tongue level (any other European language is an advantage) and is likely to have a Bachelors degree or equivalent in IT, Engineering or a related field as well as at least three years experience in a similar position.

Excellent communication (written/verbal) and customer service skills, including phone etiquette and conflict resolution are fundamental. Furthermore you will have experience in supporting or using technical software in a customer or product support environment as a Consultant, Application Engineer or active end user.

In addition you will possess excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem solving skills along with the ability to interpret technical questions. Furthermore you will have:

-experience in installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting workstation and server operating systems from Microsoft.
- an understanding of routers, firewalls, web servers and web proxy servers
- the ability to write or understand simple scripts
- a high degree of self motivation

Salary/Additional Information:

The salary for this position is ?30,000 to ?45,000 depending on experience plus benefits and bonus
