The tour starts in Moscow, where you can visit Gorky Park with it’s ice-skating rink and Sculpture Park home to redundant statues of important men from the Soviet era. On New Years Eve we take the Metro to Red Square, where we enjoy a guided walk and also a guided tour of the Moscow Kremlin. If Lenin’s Mausoleum is open, we can pay our respects. With loads of eateries and bars in the immediate area, there’s plenty of choice for your own private Moscow New Year’s celebration!

Happy New Year! New Year’s Day is free to relax – sleep off that Vodka hangover! Next to Pskov where we enjoy a day of Alpine fun – ice-skating or cross-country skiing and later steam up at a local Russian banya (sauna). We include a day a tour of Pskov and also visit the beautiful 14th century Pechory Monastery.

Next on to St Petersburg and a guided visit at the Hermitage, before taking the rest of the day free to explore. The next day is also free, but if you purchase a pukka pass, today will include additional guided sightseeing – visit Peter and Paul Fortress, Catherine Palace and take lunch at the Vodka Museum. On your final day pack in some last-minute shopping before your transfer to the airport.
